Growth Lead

fonio is hiring a Growth Lead to own and scale our end-to-end marketing function, combining strategic vision with hands-on execution to drive qualified leads for sales. You will manage large media budgets, shape creative and messaging, and build the team and frameworks that turn marketing investment into predictable revenue. This role sits close to the CEO, is on-site in Vienna, and has direct impact on a fast-growing product and sales pipeline.

What you'll do

• Own end-to-end responsibility for the entire marketing function with a clear focus on lead generation for Sales.
• Manage and strategically allocate the marketing budget (current responsibility >€400,000/month).
• Define marketing strategy, priorities and KPIs across all channels.
• Lead, build and steer the marketing team while remaining operationally hands-on.
• Set media buying and scaling strategy; coordinate execution with the performance marketing team (current adspend >€200,000/month).
• Develop a creative and content strategy including testing frameworks for ads, website and funnels.
• Own website copy, messaging and conversion rate optimization.
• Optimize newsletter and email flows to improve funnel performance.
• Design influencer partnerships and social/content initiatives.
• Define strategy, priorities and KPI frameworks for SEO, social and personal branding.
• Plan and execute go-to-market strategies with sales alignment.
• Deliver the primary KPI: qualified leads for the sales team.

What fonio is looking for

• At least 5 years of marketing experience.
• Proven experience managing total budgets over €500,000 per month.
• Strong understanding of KPIs, tracking and conversion optimization.
• Proven skill in performance-driven creatives and messaging.
• Ability to hire and scale a team while retaining an operational, hands-on mindset.
• High standards for speed, quality and ownership.
• Ideally experience in B2B‑SaaS or e‑commerce.
• On-site in Vienna, with a relocation package available and a compensation range of €90K–€150K.
