About the role
Firebender processes tens of billions of tokens per day for the thousands of concurrent coding agents, and auto complete model. Every month hundreds of millions of lines of code are added to codebases of companies ranging from startups to fortune 500.

Building a great coding agent is likely the most valuable technical challenges to solve right now, and we’re already making great progress on this.

Responsibilities
Build/iterate on agentic evaluation, and discovery multi agent strategies to solve harder and harder coding problems on large codebases
Manage infrastructure of our h100 cluster, and implement run time improvements like speculative decoding, kv-cache tuning, etc.
Talk to engineers to gather feedback, and implement/deploy quickly with little to no hand holding

Qualifications
Can articulate an impressive engineering feat that you’ve accomplished that shows you can build quickly
2+ years of software experience/B.S computer science
Kotlin or Android engineering experience is a plus, but not a requirement
Willingness to work extremely hard in a tight knit team. We take our work seriously, and to set clear expectations, this is not a place for work life balance. There are plenty of other large companies with long management chains that can offer this, but we cannot with such a small team. Its our responsibility to do right by the engineers that use our tool and believed in us early on; this requires immense effort.
