Manager, Forward Deployed Engineering*

We are looking for a Manager, Forward Deployed Engineering with 6+ years of professional experience, including at least 1-2 years in a formal leadership capacity. The ideal candidate is a proactive, self-starting leader with a strong background in both people management and project management within a B2B SaaS or professional services environment. This role is crucial as we rapidly scale our Forward Deployed Engineering organization, and we need a leader who can coach engineers and TPMs, manage complex customer implementations, and define processes in a fast-paced, uncertain environment.

What will you be doing?

Directly manage and coach a pod of Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs) and Technical Program Managers (TPMs), fostering their career growth and performance.

Serve as the primary escalation point for customers, navigating complex technical and timeline challenges to ensure successful implementations.

Define and refine operational processes to improve the efficiency and predictability of customer deployments, which typically last 3-6 months.

Partner with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Customer Success, and Product, to translate customer needs into actionable insights and drive business outcomes.

Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance, jumping into the weeds with your team to solve hairy technical problems and ensure high-quality, custom software solutions.
