Product Designer

Equall builds specialized AI systems for law firms, focusing on venture capital and growth equity workflows. We work with top-tier law firms, creating tools that lawyers trust and rely on daily.

About the Role

We're looking for a product designer who thrives at the intersection of complex data, user needs,and beautiful interfaces. You'll own the design of our core product features, working directly with lawyers and creating experiences that make sophisticated legal workflows intuitive and efficient.

This is a hands-on role where you'll design everything from cap tables and audit flows to document management systems—interfaces that are both data-heavy and mission-critical. You'll work closely with our engineering team, customers, and leadership to shape product direction and ensure every pixel serves a purpose.

Design & User Experience (Your Core Focus)

• Design core product features including UI/UX for complex data-heavy interfaces like cap tables, audit flows, and document management systems

• Create high-fidelity designs and prototypes in Figma that account for edge cases, error states, loading states, and empty states

• Build and maintain our design system using shadcn/Tailwind, ensuring consistency between Figma and production

• Conduct user research through interviews, feedback sessions, and competitive analysis to inform design decisions

• Design interactive prototypes for demos, user testing, and stakeholder reviews

• Iterate rapidly based on real customer feedback and usage data

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Partner with engineering to ensure designs are implemented to spec and providing implementation feedback

• Work with product leadership to translate high-level concepts into detailed, implementable designs

• Support customer demos and sales calls by preparing presentations, creating mockups for pitches, and documenting customer needs

• Collaborate on product strategy by contributing to roadmap planning and advocating for user-driven prioritization
