About the Role

We're seeking a Product Engineer to join our growing Engineering team. You will own the frontend experience at Equall—designing, building, and maintaining the interfaces and systems that bring our AI capabilities to life for users. You'll launch first-of-their-kind legal products that solve real pain points and transform how legal decisions are made.

This role is in-person in NYC.

Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain our SvelteKit application, owning frontend architecture decisions and component design

Write clean, type-safe TypeScript across the stack—from reactive UI components to API integrations

Shape the product alongside design, research, and GTM teams, translating user needs into polished experiences

Integrate commercial and custom-built AI models into intuitive user workflows

Establish frontend patterns and practices that scale with the team

What We're Looking For

Deep experience building modern web applications (React, Vue, Svelte, or similar)

Strong product intuition and ability to make UX tradeoffs independently

Comfort owning features end-to-end, from design collaboration through deployment

Familiarity with design systems and scalable component architecture

Passion for craft—you care about the details that make software feel great

Strong Candidates May Also Have Experience With

Building or integrating AI/ML-powered features

Tailwind CSS and utility-first styling approaches

Performance optimization and bundle analysis

Working with Kubernetes-based infrastructure

Alternative JavaScript runtimes like Bun

Salary Range $150,000–$200,000 USD + equity, depending on experience level (NYC, 2+ years minimum)
