Performs responsible professional engineering and administrative work in planning and directing the activities of a major engineering division or bureau; directs the preparation of designs, plans, specifications, estimates, and reports; and performs other related duties as required.Examples of Duties:
Minimum Qualifications:
A combination of education and experience substantially equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with a baccalaureate degree in engineering; and
two (2) years of professional civil engineering work experience after licensure as a registered professional engineer; and
three (3) year of supervisory experience.
Qualifying Supervisory Work Experience:
Professional work experience which includes planning, directing, assigning, and reviewing the work of others; advising subordinates on difficult program areas; timing and scheduling subordinate work; and training and developing new employees.
License Requirement:
Possession of a valid license as a professional civil engineer in the State of Hawai‘i, and any other licenses or certificates as required of the position.
