Clera is building autonomous AI agents that recruit. Not chatbots. Not copilots. Agents that find candidates, write personalized outreach, handle conversations, qualify fit, and schedule interviews. End to end.
We raised a pre-seed from top investors and have grown to marketplace scale (75,000+ talents, hundreds of top startup customers). Now we need operators to scale the agent and shape how it works as we grow.
The Role
You're not a recruiter. You're the human who makes autonomous recruiting actually work.
Our AI agents handle the volume: thousands of candidates sourced, messaged, and qualified every week. Your job is to supervise the agents, catch edge cases, step in for high-judgment moments, and close candidates that need a human touch. Think air traffic controller, not pilot.
This is a new type of role. You'll define what AI-native recruiting operations looks like as we scale.
Compensation
Competitive base + uncapped performance-based compensation tied to placements. Top performers earn significantly more.
Equity (Performance-Based)
Equity is earned through results. After a successful 90-day performance window, top performers receive equity grants with potential for meaningful ownership as scope expands.

What You'll Do
- Supervise AI agent pipelines: Monitor live candidate conversations, flag errors, and intervene when the agent needs human judgment
- Handle high-stakes moments: Senior candidates, tricky objections, compensation negotiations. The conversations where humans still win.
- Train the agents: Review agent outputs, label good/bad responses, and write the examples that make our AI smarter
- Quality control at scale: Audit candidate matches, outreach quality, and conversion rates across thousands of weekly touchpoints
- Close placements: Guide candidates through final stages, handle offers, and ensure successful hires
- Build the playbook: Document what works, create SOPs, and help define how humans and AI agents work together
Growth Path
This role is a proving ground. Strong performers can move into:
- Account Lead: Own client relationships and agent performance for key accounts
- Agent Training Lead: Own the feedback loop that makes our AI better
- Operations Lead: Build and manage the team as we scale from thousands to millions of candidates
Growth paths aren't promised. They're unlocked through consistent execution and demonstrated judgment.
Who You Are
- You're comfortable working with AI. You've used Claude, ChatGPT, or similar tools extensively. You understand what AI is good at and where it breaks.
- You have strong judgment. You can look at an AI-generated message and instantly know if it's good, weird, or wrong.
- You're good with people. When a candidate needs a human, you can read what they actually want, not just what they say.
- You can handle volume without losing quality. Monitoring dozens of live pipelines, catching the one message that's off.
- You want to define a new role. This isn't a playbook job. You'll help write the playbook.
Prior recruiting experience is a plus but not required. We care more about judgment, adaptability, and comfort with AI.
Founding Team
- Sebastian (CEO): Serial founder, started first company at 17. Scaled learning platform to 15K users, built AI agents for German OEMs.
- Daniel (CTO): Head of Engineering at Lofino (acquired), led 15 engineers. First startup at 18, then a VC-backed marketplace.
- Alexander (COO): Scaled SaaS to 10M ARR as Chief of Staff. 800+ interviews, 30 hires. Runs ops and GTM.
