Founding Engineer - Backend

Cellbyte is building the systems that power everything—fast, secure, and at scale. In this founding backend role, you’ll design and implement robust APIs and backend services while owning cloud infrastructure to automate deployments, monitor health, and ensure high availability. Your work will directly shape the foundation of our platform and its ability to scale.

• Design and implement backend services and APIs that are robust, scalable, and secure.
• Own cloud infrastructure: automate deployments, monitor systems, and ensure high availability across environments.

What Cellbyte is looking for

• 2+ years of software engineering experience.
• Proficiency with Python and/or Node.js for backend development.
• Experience designing and implementing robust, scalable backend services and APIs.
• Ability to design for high availability and monitoring/observability across environments.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or relational databases for data modeling and querying.
• Implementation of security best practices and threat modeling for backend systems.
• Containerization with Docker (and orchestration concepts).
• Cloud infrastructure automation using Terraform and Azure.
• Strong CS fundamentals.
