2026-02-03 11:59 PMReporting to the Manager, French Services, Radio-Canada of the North Coast (web, radio, TV), you will work as a reporter based in Sept-Îles. You must have the integrity and self-confidence to bring our programming to life.
In this role, you will conduct research and interviews, write copy, process audio and video, and produce thorough, fact-checked, dynamic, compelling news content for delivery across various platforms (web, mobile, social media, radio, TV), in accordance with CBC/Radio-Canada’s Journalistic Standards and Practices.
Schedule: the schedule may vary to accommodate production requirements.
Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent.
Three (3) years’ journalism experience or the equivalent.
Extensive general knowledge.
Good knowledge of current events in the North Coast and in the Eastern Quebec.
Solid command of the French language.
Knowledge of English is an asset.
Knowledge of communication techniques specific to the platforms (TV, radio, digital), as well as interviewing techniques.
Ability to work well in a team, while being independent, resourceful and self-starting.
Creative, enterprising and inquisitive approach to fact gathering.
Good knowledge of how to produce digital reports and manage social media.
Ability to work well under pressure to tight deadlines.
Knowledge of CBC/Radio-Canada’s Journalistic Standards and Practices.
Valid driver’s license.
Theory test: Position-related knowledge.
French tests
