Forward Deployed Engineer

We are looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer with 4–10 years of experience to own client engagements end-to-end — from discovery through delivery — at Caylent's Anthropic Business Unit, Anthropic's first pure-play delivery partner. You're a rare hybrid: technically deep enough to architect and build production AI systems, and polished enough to hold a room with a principal architect at a $120B hedge fund.

What will you be doing?

Own the full client relationship on your account — scoping, architecting, building, and closing without a manager above you

Run discovery, stakeholder interviews, and architecture reviews independently; translate ambiguous problems into deliverable work

Deploy production AI systems (agents, RAG pipelines, LLM-native apps) or lead workforce AI enablement programs for non-technical business audiences — depending on your archetype

Identify expansion opportunities and surface them proactively; you're part of the sell-do model

Transfer durable capability to clients — documented, runnable, maintainable software or automations that work after you leave

Key Requirements

4–10 years of experience with meaningful time in a consulting, professional services, or client-facing delivery environment (not purely internal engineering)

Hands-on depth in LLM application development — agents, RAG pipelines, or AI-native workflows — using Claude, AWS Bedrock, or equivalent

Proven ability to communicate at every level: technically precise with engineers, clear and confident with VP/C-suite stakeholders

High tolerance for ambiguity — you start delivering before all requirements are defined, not after

Consulting or roll-up-your-sleeves services mindset; this is not a clock-in/clock-out role — you're hungry, autonomous, and energized by account ownership
