Overview At Blacksmith, we provide cloud infra to help companies run their CI (GitHub Actions) substantially faster and cheaper. Our mission is to build a CI cloud. Our bet is that CI, as a class of workloads, is ready to be unbundled from the hyperscaler clouds (AWS/GCP/Azure). Business is just over 2 years old.You are a good fit if youHave developed and scaled distributed systems and enjoy optimizing performance and reliability across the filesystem, network, and storage stack.Are excited by the idea of self-hosting and managing infrastructure with build automation and configuration management tools (e.g. Ansible, Puppet, Chef.).Have familiarity with distributed storage systems like Ceph or MinIO.Have 5+ years of software development experience.Enjoy working in person 4-5 days a week in NYC.Enjoy working at a very early-stage startup and are comfortable with ambiguity.
