Forward Deployed Engineer

Aira is hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer to own provider and payer integrations that connect our platform to real-world clinical workflows, working closely with founders and customers to translate discovery into robust technical solutions. This role is hands-on full‑stack work at the edge of the product—building APIs, scrapers, and custom workflows—and occasionally contributing to the core platform. It matters because these integrations are how Aira becomes usable in healthcare practices and delivers real value to patients and providers.

What you'll do

• Own provider and payer integrations end-to-end, from discovery to production.
• Join client discovery sessions with founders to map workflows and capture technical requirements.
• Build APIs where available and implement scrapers or RPA when needed.
• Ship custom integrations quickly to meet client needs.
• Contribute features to the core product when integration work permits.
• Develop deep working knowledge of the US provider/payer landscape and apply it to integration design.

What Aira is looking for

• 2–5 years of full‑stack engineering experience.
• Startup experience with broad ownership and comfort shipping under ambiguity.
• Proven track record of owning features or products end-to-end.
• Experience integrating with third‑party APIs and building reliable data flows.
• Regular use of AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor) and experience shipping work that leverages them.
• Strong English communication skills for explaining tradeoffs to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Strong pluses: experience building scrapers or RPA, prior US healthcare experience, cloud infrastructure experience (AWS or GCP), and production experience with LLM/AI features.
• Logistics: full‑time, hybrid role with in‑person work when called and some travel in USA
