Windsor-Essex County Health Unit

The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit provides public health services to the residents and businesses of Windsor and Essex County in Ontario, Canada. The organization promotes and protects the public's health in the City of Windsor, the County of Essex, and on Pelee Island under the authority of the Health Protection and Promotion Act. Some of the key areas of focus include; injury and fall prevention, nutrition promotion, physical activity promotion, substance abuse prevention, smoking cessation, workplace health promotion, flu shot clinic, vaccine information and distribution, tuberculosis testing and surveillance, immunizations for school ages children, sexual health clinic, reportable diseases and community outbreak management, health inspections, mould information, reproductive and child heath services, dental health clinic, Healthy Babies Healthy Children program, and comprehensive school health program.
