By administering and protecting the integrity of universal service, USAC helps communities across the country to stay connected, schools to better educate, libraries to better serve the public, and health care providers to reach more patients.
Universal Service Programs
With the guidance of policy created by the FCC, we collect and deliver funding through four programs focused on places where broadband and connectivity needs are critical. These programs serve people in rural, underserved, and difficult-to-reach areas: Schools and Libraries (E-rate), Rural Health Care, Lifeline, and High Cost.
