The doors to Superba Food + Bread in Venice, CA opened in 2014 and set in motion “Life Superba” – a belief that the good things in life ought to be shared, and that great food should be accessible to all who seek it. Working with the team at Design, Bitches, Superba Food + Bread’s open, airy restaurant design won the AIA/LA Restaurant Design Award their opening year. Equal parts dine in restaurant and take away coffee shop and bakery, Superba Food + Bread offers the opportunity to swing by like a local for a fresh baguette, indulge in a flaky chocolate croissant with your morning cappuccino, or settle in for a meal highlighting Southern California’s best produce from both local farms and Superba’s backyard garden.
Superba has grown to include Superba Snacks + Coffee (North Hollywood, Pasadena) – a daytime only casual concept – and Superba Bakehouse – a daily bread + pastry online pre-order program from their talented team of bakers. Additionally, their second Superba Food + Bread location opened in the legendary Hollywood The Cat & Fiddle space in 2021. The Superba family is a part of the American Gonzo Food Corporation (Pitfire Pizza, American Beauty, The Win~Dow).
