After all, we not only carry out peace-making and keeping operations or humanitarian efforts. Our soldiers are professional bridge-builders who intervene in conflicts, help out with disasters and restore calm.
Defence takes action in unstable or unsafe countries. After all, the situation there will trickle through into our society as well. The quicker we can re-establish safety and prosperity over there, the better things will be for our country. Indeed, our own prosperity and high living standards are dependent upon a safe ‘open world’.
