About
I’m a Senior iOS Engineer at Qonto. In the past 5 years I became the glue of the iOS community at N26, I shipped several new products from scratch as part of a cross-functional team, and I mentored other iOS engineers to show the world their full potential. I’m passionate about product accessibility and I led an initiative to improve the state of a11y in our product. My intention is to do the things that I’m proud of, and as a consequence create beautiful things for our product, our customers and the people of our company. I built most of my technical knowledge at the previous company I worked at, Rawfish, an Italian mobile agency based in Vicenza. I was given the opportunity of building several iOS apps from scratch, which allowed me to experiment with all kinds of iOS architectures and made me fall in love with all the great features of Swift as a programming language. These small end-to-end projects also allowed me to gain experience on several Apple native frameworks such as CoreLocation, MapKit and AVFoundation. This first experience was a great gym for me, and helped me land a Junior iOS Engineer role at my dream company at the time: N26 in Berlin. This is where I found the missing piece that I needed to unlock my further development career: testing! Unit Testing, Snapshot Testing, XCUITests, integration tests, TestRail and regression testing. This was just the first step though. At N26 I discovered how much I love the other aspects of being a Software Engineer: interacting with my Product Manager and my Product Designer, being the glue in my team and building bridges with other functions, mentoring and leaving space for other engineers to grow, leading tech projects end-to-end and sharing my technical expertise, guidance, lessons learned, and providing feedback on engineering practices & technical development for my team and the outside world. I learned to work first in Scrum, then Kanban, and thanks to my manager and mentor Filip I fell in love with the concept of Holacracy and "autonomy in collaboration". Wanna know more about me and talk about all this? Just send me a DM, I'll happily write back.
