Ananya Arora

I am a 4th-year student pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a Research Intensive Specialization and a Minor in Sexuality, Marriage, and Family Studies at the University of Waterloo. Over the last two years, I’ve developed hands-on experience in the field of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), working directly with children on the autism spectrum under the supervision of Behaviour Analysts and Speech-Language Pathologists. This experience has helped me build a strong foundation in implementing individualized therapy programs, data collection, progress monitoring, and fostering supportive learning environments. Beyond clinical work, I have a keen interest in developmental psychology and evidence-based practices that support children and families. I’ve also developed skills in academic research, literature review, and program evaluation through coursework and independent study. Currently, I am working toward completing an Honours Thesis and continuing my work as an ABA therapist! I’m passionate about blending research and practice to create meaningful change, and I hope to continue growing in this direction through graduate studies and work in child-focused mental health or educational settings.
