Aaron Wiegel, Ph.D.

I am a data engineer who is passionate about delivering data products that provide data in a standard, consistent, and reliable manner by employing unit and integration testing along with data profiling and alerting tools. With a PhD in chemical physics, years of research and programming experience, and a passion for learning, I enjoy combining data from diverse sources and ideas from different disciplines to uncover hidden value in data. I have several years experience coding in Python using common data science and engineering packages (pandas, sqlalchemy, numpy, scipy, matplotlib, sci-kit learn, etc.) In addition, from my experience on a team of volunteer community college instructors in San Quentin State Prison and at a interdisciplinary biotech startup environment, I learned communication, teamwork, and flexibility in a constantly evolving environment.
