What You'll Do

Are you a passionate sales person who knows how to develop new business opportunities and grow market share? Are you hungry to grow distribution for Wilson Team Sports in France & BENELUX?

 

This is an exciting opportunity, created from strong growth of the Wilson brand in Europe, as the Official Ball of the NFL, NBA, WNBA, NCAA, ACB, FIBA 3x3 and the Basketball Champions League. What a time to join the team as we drive the business around these key partnerships, to reach more consumers in the region.

You will utilize these partnerships to develop strong sales plans in the wholesale channel, to grow distribution and share of shelf in your assigned territory. You will also develop opportunities at the grassroots level of basketball and volleyball, working with Institutions to convert more courts and players to Wilson, from youth to pro.

 

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Meet and exceed the annual sales plan and product category objectives in your defined territory
  • Identify new wholesale distribution opportunities and effectively track and manage through CRM program
  • Effectively communicate key brand and product stories, creating strong commercial plans and solution focused sales proposals to current and perspective retail partners
  • Drive market share growth of Basketball, Volleyball and American Football by selling-in the product range, setting sell-through activities and collaborating effectively with retail partners to maximize brand share of shelf
  • Work with the Key Account Manager France to manage the distribution strategy and range optimization for profitable growth
  • Provide feedback as the voice of the consumer and customer internally, specifically on range, channel design, competitor and commercial strategy
  • Forecast and plan sales in your territory to deliver excellent service levels and orderbook management

What We're Looking For

This role requires 4+ years of demonstrated sales experience, executing the full sales cycle – prospecting, proposing, negotiating, and closing.

 

Other qualifications include:

  • Entrepreneurial spirit with the hunger to deliver results
  • Curiosity to think differently and create new opportunities
  • Strong communicator, with excellent verbal and written French and English skills
  • Team player, able to work cross functionally and culturally with European and US colleagues
  • Experience managing budgets to deliver sales and margin targets
  • Clean EU driving licence

Additional experience and skills include:

  • Passion as a fan or player of sports, particularly Team Sports
  • Planning and executing trade marketing plans
  • Brand and event marketing activation

Role specific competencies:

  • Planning & preparation: Prepares detailed plans to prioritise targeted prospects and organise themselves to manage time and budgets effectively. Maintains detailed CRM plans to track and manage communication in a timely and appropriate manner
  • Relationship-building & interpersonal skills: Expert at building rapport and credibility, in part by demonstrating an appreciation for the customer’s needs
  • Listening skills & solution selling: Develops a deep understanding of the consumer and objectives of the customer, to deliver solutions that change the game
  • Presenting skills: Is articulate and effective in presenting the categories and brand externally to customers
  • Negotiation skills: deliver mutually beneficial solutions that enable a sustainable platform for growth
  • Autonomous: is a self-starter who can plan and manage their own time to achieve their objectives
