This position is located on-site in Dixon, IL. We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Purchasing Analyst to join our team. This role is critical in enhancing our sourcing capabilities, mentoring team members, and driving supplier performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, data analysis, and supplier relationship management, with a passion for continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives to optimize cost, quality, and delivery performance.
- Analyze purchasing data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and supplier teams to support product development and procurement strategies.
- Mentor and support Buyers and Purchasing Assistants, fostering skill development and team growth.
- Develop and maintain supplier scorecards and performance metrics.
- Support ERP system utilization and data integrity (Made2Manage experience a plus).
- Assist in the development of long-term sourcing strategies aligned with company goals.
- Send out monthly forecast to vendors
- Discuss defective or unacceptable goods with supplier and implement corrective action
Reporting Structure:
This position will report to the Purchasing Manager and will have direct reports including Buyers and Purchasing Assistants.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain analysis.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel and ERP systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with negotiating favorable pricing
- Experience in manufacturing or industrial equipment sectors preferred.
- Ability to lead and mentor others in a collaborative team environment.

Earning Potential:
- Base Salary of $77,000 - $100,000
- Eligible for Quarterly Productivity Bonus. Average 2025 annual payout was $18,000. Payouts are based on overall company profitability and attendance.
- Eligible for Semi-Annual Bonus
Hours:
- Full-time role based in Dixon, IL
- Monday – Friday 7:30am – 4pm
- Occasional travel may be required
