The 3D Mapping team is seeking a software engineer to develop a scalable and efficient mapping pipeline and storage system that supports the creation, cataloging, and maintenance of the HD maps deployed to Zoox’s fleet. This role will be instrumental in scaling our mapping operations to the next level.

• Support the development of HD map creation and maintenance pipelines.
• Support prototyping and developing new map products for downstream users.
• Support the development of CI/CD for mapping infrastructure.

• B.S. or M.S. degree in a relevant engineering program
• Proficient in C++ and Python
• Experience in cloud / distributed computing and database systems
• Experience in industry software development, DevOps workflows, and related tools (e.g. CI/CD)

• Experience in computer vision and SLAM algorithms
• Experience working with geospatial data and coordinate systems
• Experience automating complex workflows
