Accounts Payable Accountant - 12 Months FTC (All Genders)

At zooplus, finance plays a key role in enabling our continued growth as Europe’s leading online pet platform. We are currently looking for an Accounts Payable Accountant (12 Months FTC) to join our finance team and support the accurate, timely, and compliant processing of invoices across the business. In this role, you will work closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders, contribute to period-end activities, and support cross-functional finance initiatives in a dynamic, international environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day invoice handling, ensuring proper categorization, validation, and compliance with internal procedures.
• Reconcile and maintain accounts of our suppliers, including vendor files and records
• Coordinate with suppliers and closely cooperate with our specialist departments to resolve invoice discrepancies
• Support colleagues from general ledger and controlling in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Take part in ad-hoc assignments and cross-functional projects to support broader finance goals
• Perform additional tasks (e.g., travel expense accounting and AP accounting for subsidiaries)

• Skilled communicator in both German and English, with the ability to work effectively across cultures and departments
• Proven experience in Accounts Payable, ideally within a multinational or fast-paced environment.
• Successfully completed business degree or equivalent qualification
• Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft office programs
• SAP S4/HANA skills would be an advantage
• Good analytical and communication skills
• Team player with an independent way of working
