Customs and Trade Master Data Specialist

Location: Warsaw, Poland

Join Zoetis’ Global Customs & Trade Compliance team! We are looking for a specialist to manage customs-related master data in SAP GTS and support global trade compliance processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and govern master data for customs compliance (HS codes, ECCN, origin determinations) with approval workflows and audit trails.
  • Manage country of origin (preferential and non-preferential), including BOM-level origin for multi-ingredient pharma products.
  • Classify products with HS/HTS codes per country, resolve discrepancies, and maintain Binding Tariff Information (BTI) and customs rulings.
  • Handle export control classifications (ECCN/dual-use items and national lists for biological materials/equipment).
  • Validate customs broker entries against master data and resolve discrepancies.
  • Review commercial documents for new materials and sellers; provide site-specific compliance instructions.
  • Track regulatory changes impacting veterinary pharma, narcotics/precursor rules, and dual-use control lists; update master data and SOPs accordingly.
  • Maintain authorized declarant registrations and reporting entities where CBAM applies to upstream inputs.
  • Support sustainability compliance by mapping CBAM-relevant inputs and linking data to ERP/GTM systems.
  • Lead BOM-level origin calculations and manage supplier declarations (LTSD), certificates, and requalification cadence.
  • Maintain audit-ready evidence for FTA qualification files and oversee corrective actions for gaps.
  • Prepare and update broker instruction packs for country-specific import/export requirements, licenses, and escalation paths.
  • Enforce customs broker compliance KPIs and monitor performance.
  • Request and index global binding rulings, track effective/expiry dates, and manage renewal triggers.
  • Own and update SOPs for customs-related topics, embedding change control and training rollout.
  • Support execution of data mappings for CBAM (Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism) and EUDR (EU Deforestation Regulation) due diligence attributes.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years in customs and trade compliance roles, ideally in a global or regional setting.
  • University degree in business, supply chain, international trade, or a science-related field; master’s degree preferred.
  • Licensed Customs Broker or equivalent in-country customs accreditation is a strong plus.
  • Advanced understanding of customs regulations, HS/HTS classification, and rules of origin.
  • Familiarity with export control regulations (US/EU), including ECCN and embargo management.
  • Knowledge of Free Trade Agreements and qualification processes.
  • Familiarity with SAP Global Trade Services (GTS), preferably S4 HANA.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Power BI or similar analytics tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for complex product and process flows.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English (oral and written); additional languages are an asset.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and deliver under deadlines.
