We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Officer to join our team in San Diego, Los Angeles, Sacramento, CA. This role is responsible for driving growth by connecting businesses with tailored banking solutions. Essential Functions: 

  • Responsible for sourcing and developing prospects, new clients, and selling business banking services and products. 
  • Responsible for developing sales strategies and expanding referral sources. 
  • Passes off prospects to Business Banking Relationship managers to close the relationship.
  • Responsible for gathering data to be used in the selling process, participating in community organizations and activities, and assisting prospective clients in completing loan and services applications.
  • May supervise or lead lower level BDO's 
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications: 

  • Requires a Bachelors in Business, Finance or a related field and 2+ yrs experience in business development, sales, loans, banking/finance products and services or other directly related experience. A combination of education and experience may meet job requirements. 
  • Working knowledge of sales techniques, business development, banking/finance products and services. 
  • Must have solid customer service and negotiation skills. 
  • Solid communication skills, both verbal and written. 
  • Solid problem resolution and presentation skills. 
  • Ability to work with internal staff on relationships. 
  • Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and general PC's skills.

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $105,000 - $120,000 depending on job-related factors such as level of experience.
