The base salary listed is a range. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others). In addition to the base salary, this position is eligible for a bonus, providing the opportunity to earn additional compensation.

Position Summary

The Senior International Accountant plays a key role in supporting the financial operations of the company’s international entities. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with local statutory requirements, and alignment with corporate accounting policies. The role requires strong technical accounting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across global teams.
 

Essential Functions

  • Engagement with Foreign Accounting Firms
    • Partner with foreign accounting firms for statutory reporting, tax filings & financial audits.
    • Support International Accounting Manager on finance, accounting and tax issues that arise for each entity. 
  • Month-End Close & Reporting
    • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements for select international entities.
    • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
    • Support consolidation and reporting of international financial results in accordance with US GAAP – including eliminations, revaluations & translation. 
    • Support international payroll & entries.
    • Prepare journal entries associated with currency hedges. 
    • Review & code invoices to proper accounts.
    • Reconcile all taxes (VAT, Withholding, etc.) & book monthly CIT accruals.
    • Partner with Shared Service team on month-end tasks & balancing to ensure timely close.
  • Transfer Pricing
    • Support International Accounting Manager on annual transfer pricing work.
    • Support strategic initiatives to optimize structure including analysis & info gathering for decision making. 
  • Compliance & Audit Support
    • Ensure compliance with local statutory accounting and tax requirements.
    • Assist with coordination of statutory audits and liaise with external auditors and local accounting firms.
  • Budget
    • Assist in the preparation of the annual G&A budgets for all regions including costs of international 3rd party payroll, tax & audit support. 
    • Partner with Shared Service team on budgets for fixed assets, prepaids, & other items.
  • Process Improvement
    • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
    • Support implementation of best practices across international accounting operations in partnership with our Shared Service & Operations teams.
  • Collaboration & Communication
    • Partner with international sales offices, customer service & supply chain to ensure financial reporting accurately reflects business activities.
    • Provide support and guidance to local teams on accounting policies and procedures.
    • Assists with various ad-hoc projects and analysis as needed.
    • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

Minimum Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA preferred. 
  • 4–6 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in international or multinational environments. 
  • Solid understanding of US GAAP and exposure to IFRS or local GAAP.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and financial reporting tools such as Blackline & PowerBI.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred:

  • Experience working with foreign subsidiaries or in a shared services environment.
  • Familiarity with foreign currency accounting and intercompany processes.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and continuous improvement.
  • Comfortable working across time zones and cultures.

 

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

The work environment characteristics are those consistent with a standard office environment. Positions in this class typically require typing, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.  

Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.  Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.  Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.   

Schedule Requirements

This position is expected to work within core business hours and occasionally requires participation in after-hours work with domestic and international stakeholders. This position is hybrid and on-site 3 days per week – Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.

Travel Requirements

This position will work primarily at Zinpro Corporate Headquarters.
