Position Responsibilities\Requirements:
Development / Quality Assurance Tester
The Quality Assurance (QA) Tester will play a critical role in validating, verifying, and ensuring the quality of the integration data flows built for the Digital Integration Hub (DIH), centralized integration platform for Trading and Asset Services. This role focuses on testing ETL workflows, data transformations, API integrations, and secure, scalable connector designs built using the Adeptia platform.
You will work closely with ETL Developers, Product Owners, Business Analysts, DevOps, and the Scrum Master to ensure DIH delivers highquality, secure, and reliable integration solutions that support the platform’s strategic roadmap.
Position Responsibilities:
Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for DIH integration connectors and ETL workflows.
Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Developers to define clear acceptance criteria and quality gates.
Participate in design and requirements discussions to ensure testability and early detection of potential issues.
Contribute to test strategy improvements, including risk-based testing and regression planning.
Execute functional, integration, regression, and end to end testing for ETL workflows and API integrations.
Validate data accuracy, transformation logic, field mappings, and end to end data flow across internal and external systems.
Test API integrations (REST/SOAP), including authentication, payload validation, and error handling.
Verify that workflows meet performance, scalability, and reliability expectations.
Identify, document, and track defects using Azure DevOps.
Work closely with developers to reproduce issues, analyze root causes, and validate fixes.
Ensure all integration workflows adhere to security standards and secure data handling practices.
Support security testing, audit activities, and remediation validation.
Contribute to automated test development for ETL workflows and API endpoints where applicable.
Create and maintain test documentation, including test cases, test results, and traceability matrices.
Work with globally distributed teams across engineering, QA, product, and client facing groups.
Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Position Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information systems, or equivalent experience
Experience testing ETL workflows, data pipelines, or integration platforms (Adeptia, Azure Data Factory, Informatica, or similar) (Adeptia preferred)
Experience in financial services, FinTech, private equity, investment accounting, or capital markets is highly preferred.
Strong SQL skills for data validation, reconciliation, and test query creation.
Familiarity with API testing tools (Postman, Bruno, SoapUI) and JSON/XML validation.
Understanding of data modeling concepts, schemas, transformations, and data lineage.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and DevOps practices.
Experience with secure data handling practices and testing authentication/authorization flows.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with globally distributed teams
Strong time management and ability to handle multiple testing cycles simultaneously
