About this role

Own the end‑to‑end user experience and visual design of our treasury management platform. You’ll modernize the look and feel, define a scalable design system, and make complex financial workflows intuitive and easy to navigate—while delivering a visually engaging experience that differentiates our product in the market

Key responsibilities

  • Experience Strategy & Vision: Set a clear UX/UI vision and north star for a modern, enterprise-grade platform; define experience principles and quality bars across 250+ screens.
  • Design System & Visual Language: Establish and govern a component library, design tokens, typography, colour, and motion to ensure consistency, speed, and tenant customization.
  • Information Architecture & Navigation: Redesign IA, menus, and wayfinding to reduce cognitive load and improve task completion.
  • Hands‑on Product Design: Produce high‑quality flows, wireframes, hi‑fi UI, and interaction specs; partner closely with Angular front‑end developers to ship.
  • Customer‑centric Discovery: Lead research with finance users (interviews, usability testing, heuristic reviews, analytics) to identify pain points and validate solutions.
  • Sales Enablement & Market Differentiation: Create demo-ready prototypes and narratives that showcase a compelling, modern user experience that strengthens competitive advantage; coach GTM teams on storytelling.
  • Cross‑functional Leadership: Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Support; raise design maturity across the org.
  • Governance & Scale: Implement contribution models, review rituals, and documentation so patterns stay coherent as the product evolves.

Experience & skills we’re seeking

  • Depth in Enterprise/B2B SaaS (7–10+ years): Proven track record simplifying complex, data‑dense workflows for professional users (finance/treasury background is a plus).
  • Design System Expertise: Built or scaled a multi‑product design system (tokens, theming, component governance); measurable impact on velocity and consistency.
  • IA & Interaction Design: Strong craft in structuring large applications, progressive disclosure, and error‑proofing complex tasks.
  • Visual & Motion Design: Modern aesthetics and micro‑interactions used judiciously to communicate state, hierarchy, and feedback.
  • Tooling & Handoff: Expert in Figma (components/variants/tokens), prototyping, and developer‑ready specs; familiarity with Angular front‑end ecosystems and CSS variables.
  • Evidence‑based Design: Comfortable with research methods, product analytics, and A/B or multivariate testing; ability to define and track UX KPIs.
  • Influence & Communication: Clear storytelling from exec briefings to sprint rituals; ability to balance user needs, regulatory constraints, and delivery realities.
  • Collaboration at Scale: Experience working within or alongside large engineering teams, establishing processes that scale without slowing teams down.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in HCI, Interaction Design, Visual Design, or related field.
  • Portfolio showcasing system‑level design (design systems), navigation/IA, and shipped enterprise features with outcomes.
  • Right to work in Australia; willingness to meet customers and collaborate across time zones when needed.
