Job Title : Scrum Master
Location: Atlanta, GA
What's this role about?
Seeking a highly motivated Scrum Master to facilitate, coach, and support Agile teams in delivering high‑quality products. The ideal candidate will ensure that Scrum principles, practices, and theory are properly understood and enacted. This role involves enabling continuous improvement, removing impediments, and fostering an environment that empowers and energizes team members.
Key Responsibilities
Agile Facilitation & Delivery
- Guide the team in applying Scrum frameworks and Agile principles.
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies:
Daily Stand‑ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective. - Ensure the team adheres to the Definition of Done (DoD) and Definition of Ready (DoR).
- Track and communicate team progress using tools like JIRA, Azure DevOps, or Rally.
Team Coaching & Support
- Coach the team to be self‑organizing and cross‑functional.
- Help the Product Owner with backlog refinement, prioritization, and clarity.
- Remove blockers proactively to enable smooth sprint execution.
- Foster a culture of transparency, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Act as a servant leader and liaison between the team and stakeholders.
- Ensure alignment between business goals and delivery outcomes.
- Facilitate communication, manage expectations, and drive value delivery.
Process Improvement
- Analyze team performance metrics (velocity, burndown, cycle time) to identify improvement opportunities.
- Encourage experimentation and the adoption of best practices.
- Promote a culture of learning through workshops, coaching sessions, and Agile maturity assessments.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
- 3–8 years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Project Manager.
- Strong understanding of Scrum, Kanban, and Agile methodologies.
- Hands‑on experience with Agile tools (JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Trello, etc.).
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and conflict‑resolution skills.
- Ability to work effectively with distributed teams.
Preferred Qualifications (Good to Have)
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PSM I/II, SAFe Scrum Master, PMI‑ACP.
- Experience with scaled Agile environments (SAFe, LeSS, Nexus, Scrum@Scale).
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Prior experience working with cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced environment.
