Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Qualifies and inspects products to ensure compliance with CZV specifications and standards. 

  • ​Maintains appropriate written and/or computer documentation. 

  • ​Maintains a clean and safe work environment. 

  • ​Generally assigned certain tasks within a specified department but has knowledge to perform the majority of the tasks within a specified department.  

  • ​Employs troubleshooting techniques to determine the cause of instrument/machine failure and implement repairs where necessary.

  • ​Works in different workstations or product lines as production needs require. 

  • ​​Participates in meetings to enhance departmental communication and efficiency. 

  • ​Trains peers.​ 

Do you qualify?
  • Required: HSD / GED / Equivalent Experience

  • Required: 3-5 years related experience

  • Preferred: 3 years Optical Manufacturing experience

  • Ability to follow safety guidelines with the ability to identify and understand safety items 

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-task production environment 

  • Exceptional attendance record 

  • Honest, dependable and able to follow directions either written or verbal 

  • ​​Full knowledge of at least one department and basic knowledge of the entire lab 

  • Professional demeanor with a positive attitude and approach to work​ 

  • ​Patience to fully see the task through is a must 

  • ​Analytical and problem-solving skills 

  • ​Ability to work in a team setting or independently, as needed 

  • ​Customer Service Mindset 

  • ​Desire to learn 

  • ​Ability to read English and identify numbers

  • ​Good verbal and written communication with the ability to communicate with other associates in a clear, concise manner 

  • ​Must have a flexible schedule and be able to work overtime when needed 

  • ​Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues 

  • May require vision and/or color hue recognition testing (Required for tinters)

  • ​General office/computer experience​ 

  • ​Basic knowledge of frame and lenses 

  • ​​Manufacturing skill set 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to focus for long periods of time 

  • ​Eye for attention to detail and symmetry 

  • Ability to sit and or stand for prolonged periods of time

  • ​Ability to perform repetitive movements with upper and lower extremities 

  • ​Ability to sustain lengthy periods of visual concentration and good hand/eye/foot coordination 

  • ​Solid dexterity and mechanical skills 

  • ​Must be able to regularly lift 10 pounds.   Must be able to lift 30 pounds in Surfacing.

  • ​Must be able to excerpt up to 20 PSI with hands 

  • ​Ability to use personal protective equipment

The hourly pay range for this position is $22.00 - $27.00.


The pay offered for this role may be influenced by factors such as job location, scope of role, qualifications, education, experience, & complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent.
  
This position is eligible for a Performance Bonus.
