The Role

We are seeking an Application Engineer based in Osaka to support and demonstrate ZEISS X-RAY measuring systems. This customer-facing role focuses on pre-sales technical support, system demonstrations, and solution development in close collaboration with the sales team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver system demonstrations and technical presentations
  • Provide pre-sales technical support and customer consultations
  • Propose tailored solutions based on customer requirements
  • Support exhibitions, webinars, and other customer activities
  • Build strong customer relationships as a technical advisor

Required Experience

  • Experience in customer-facing technical roles (application, technical support, or pre-sales)
  • Hands-on experience with technical equipment in automotive, electronics, or machinery industries
  • Experience with X-RAY systems or similar inspection equipment
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Business-level Japanese and English

Preferred:

  • Experience with NDT, metrology, CAD, or mechanical engineering
  • IT/system integration knowledge
  • Cross-functional teamwork experience
  • Additional language skills

Working Conditions & Our Benefits

Contract Period: Indefinite

Probation Period: 3 months (extendable up to 6 months)

Work Locations (assignment possible to any):

  • Base Location Osaka: 3-35-22 Tarumi-cho, Suita-shi, Osaka 564-0062
  • Until the Osaka Demo Center opens in fall 2026 or later, frequent business trips or short-term transfers to Nagoya are
  • expected.
  • (Domestic Travel: 1 -3 times per month & International Travel: 1 – 2 times per year)

Working Hours: 9:00–17:30 with 60 minutes break time

Holidays & Leave: Approx. 125 days per year (weekends, public holidays), Year-end/New Year holidays (Dec 29 – Jan 4). Paid leave: 14–20 days in year one, 20 days in year two, 21–25 days thereafter

Overtime: May occur depending on business needs; compensated per law and company policy

Smoking Policy: No smoking on company premises

Salary & Benefits: Annual salary: ¥4,500,000 – ¥7,000,000+ (gross). Bonus: Paid in accordance with company policy. Commuting allowance provided
