Purpose of the Role

The Netherlands has a strong network of ophthalmologists, clinics, hospitals, and (independent) treatment centers. These teams face the daily challenge of helping more patients, while the bar for quality continues to rise and time is scarce. You are the partner who helps them move forward. You listen attentively, you think along in solutions, and you point the way to the innovative possibilities of ZEISS. In this way, you give them the means to diagnose more accurately, to treat more safely and efficiently, and to noticeably improve the lives of patients.

The key responsibilities for this position include (but are not limited to):

  • You report to the Sales Manager Ophthalmology Netherlands.
  • You are in daily contact with ophthalmologists, clinical staff, and decision-makers within ophthalmological institutions and understand their challenges like no other.
  • You translate clinical and organizational needs into suitable ZEISS solutions with demonstrable added value for patient care.
  • You move effortlessly between different conversation partners and networks, from medical-content driven to strategic.
  • You actively build long-term customer relationships and know how to connect new customers to ZEISS.
  • You identify trends, innovations, developments, and opportunities in Dutch eye care and respond to them proactively.
  • You work in a structured manner with Salesforce, so that you always have insight into customer needs and opportunities.

Required knowledge & experience

  • A completed bachelor’s degree or equivalent working and thinking level.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a commercial role, preferably in medical technology or healthcare.
  • Affinity with clinical environments and technical products.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Persuasiveness, diplomacy, and perseverance.
  • Willingness to further deepen your knowledge of ZEISS products and applications (training and certification included).
  • Excellent command of the English language.
  • Experience with presenting at a high level.
