<p>We are seeking a creative and reliable florist to join our private household team, providing floral design, care and delivery services that support the home’s aesthetic and hospitality needs.</p><h2><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h2><h5><strong>Floral Design and Arrangement</strong></h5><ul> <li><p>Create a wide range of floral arrangements for the home, events and VIP visits, including bouquets, table centrepieces, standing arrangements and installations, following the household’s style and quality standards.</p></li> <li><p>Select, prepare and condition fresh flowers and foliage to ensure longevity and visual impact, using appropriate techniques for cutting, hydrating and arranging.</p></li> <li></li></ul><h5><strong>Maintenance and Care</strong></h5><ul> <li><p>Maintain floral displays throughout the property, replacing stems, refreshing water and trimming foliage to preserve presentation and hygiene.</p></li> <li><p>Monitor flower and plant health, apply basic plant care practices and escalate any pest, disease or maintenance issues to the household manager or gardener.</p></li> <li><p>Manage appropriate storage and refrigeration of flowers and materials to maintain quality and reduce waste.</p></li></ul><h5><strong>Inventory, Procurement and Budget</strong></h5><ul> <li><p>Order flowers, foliage and sundry supplies from approved suppliers, ensuring cost-effective purchasing and timely delivery.</p></li> <li><p>Keep accurate records of stock levels, orders and invoices and assist with budget monitoring and reconciliation as requested.</p></li> <li><p>Maintain a tidy and organised floral workspace and ensure tools and equipment are cleaned and stored safely.</p></li></ul><h5><strong>Event and VIP Support</strong></h5><ul> <li><p>Support planning and delivery of floral requirements for private events, dinners and official visits, liaising with events, protocol and household teams to meet brief and timings.</p></li> <li><p>Provide on‑site setup and breakdown for events, ensuring arrangements are installed securely and presented to the highest standard.</p></li></ul><h5><strong>Hygiene, Safety and Standards</strong></h5><ul> <li><p>Adhere to health and safety procedures when handling tools, floral foam, cleaning products and waste, and follow safe manual handling practices.</p></li> <li><p>Maintain a professional appearance and deliver courteous, discreet service when interacting with household members, guests and suppliers.</p></li></ul><h3><strong>Key Skills & Qualifications</strong></h3><h5><strong>Education and Experience</strong></h5><ul> <li><p>Proven experience as a florist or in a floral design role, preferably within private households, events or high-end retail environments.</p></li> <li><p>Formal qualification in floristry is desirable but not essential for candidates with strong practical experience and portfolio evidence.</p></li></ul><h5><strong>Skills and Abilities</strong></h5><ul> <li><p>Demonstrable creative flair and strong attention to detail in floral design and presentation.</p></li> <li><p>Good plant and flower knowledge, including care, conditioning and seasonal availability.</p></li> <li><p>Organisational skills with the ability to plan ahead, manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.</p></li> <li><p>Excellent communication and collaborative skills to work with household teams, suppliers and event staff.</p></li> <li><p>Physically fit with stamina for standing, lifting and manual handling associated with arranging and installing displays.</p></li> <li><p>Flexible approach to working hours, including early starts, evening events and occasional weekend work as required.</p></li></ul><h5><strong>Additional Information</strong></h5><ul> <li><p>Opportunities for training and development are available for committed individuals looking to grow within the household team.</p></li> <li><p>The employer is an equal opportunity organisation and welcomes applications from all suitably qualified candidates.</p></li></ul><p>To apply, please submit your CV, a brief cover letter outlining your relevant experience and availability, and a portfolio or photographs of recent work where possible.</p>
