We are seeking a Senior Proposal Engineer for Yokogawa’s high-performing Industrial team based in our Sydney Head Office.

In this key role, you’ll be responsible for managing and producing high-quality technical and commercial proposals that support our solutions across various sectors, including energy, mining, water, renewables, and more. You’ll work closely with internal teams, partners, and clients to design winning proposals that reflect the best of Yokogawa and industry best practices.

What you’ll do:

• Lead the development of an accurate, timely and compelling proposals using Yokogawa’s and third-party technologies.
• Prepare cost estimates, gather third-party quotes, and collaborate with Sales, Engineering and Project Delivery teams.
• Design and improve tools and systems to streamline the proposal development process.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to growing technical capability across the team.
• Represent Yokogawa’s values through customer focus, innovation, and collaboration.

What you’ll bring:

• A degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent experience in similar fields.
• 5+ years’ experience in engineering, estimating or proposals—ideally within the industrial automation sector.
• A solid understanding of control systems and industrial automation, including DCS, PLC, SCADA, safety systems, field networks, MES, and IIoT/cloud solutions.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills—confident in presenting technical solutions persuasively.
• A collaborative approach to teamwork with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proven ability to deliver results in a dynamic and multi-stakeholder environment.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and multitasking capabilities, able to handle and maintain multiple projects at different stages.
