Employees and volunteers of YMCA of Southwestern Ontario are ambassadors for the Y both on and off the job. Position: LIT Coordinator - Leader In Training Coordinator

Location: Spencer Lodge - 531 Windermere Rd, London, ON

Start Date: June 1 2026 - Training in June TBD. Camp starts June 28 2026

End Date: Aug 28 2026

Salary: $17.60 / hour

In this role, you will:

  •  Provide high quality day camp and leadership programing to children between 12 to 16 years old
  • Direct program delivery will support the philosophies of the YMCA and will incorporate the principals of YMCA Healthy Child Development as well as Youth Positive Development
  • Ensure safety and well-being of campers
  • Act as positive role model in attitude, health and wellness for campers, volunteers and staff
  • Prepare and deliver exceptional day camp programming
  • Create developmentally appropriate program plans

 

Education & Skills Qualifications:

  • Experience working with children or youth
  • Will be 17 years old within the calendar year of employment
  • Current Emergency First Aid and CPR
  • Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening as per current YMCA HR policy
  • Participation in YMCA Healthy Child Development (training provided)
