Job DetailsLevel: ExperiencedJob Location: Peak Expeditionary a Pennington (Wheat Ridge) - Wheat Ridge, CO 80033Position Type: Part TimeSalary Range: $19.79 - $19.79 HourlyJob Shift: AnyTIMES & DAYS - Hours available Monday - Friday. This could include a split shift working in the morning from 6:15am - 8:15am and in the afternoon from 3:00pm - 6:00pm   POSITION SUMMARY  The Program Lead, working as part of the YMCA Center team, will help deliver world-class customer service and relationship building skills to create a welcoming environment at the YMCA. Under the direction of the Site Director, the Program Lead is responsible for supporting the delivery of the OST program which includes behavior management and participant safety. The incumbent will also exhibit the core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility in all aspects of their work with the YMCA.   THE YMCA AS THE THIRD PLACE  To be the welcoming and transformative place - beyond work and home - where people feel most able to be their true selves; explore their purpose, dreams and goals; achieve health and wellness for their spirit, mind and body; connect with their community and feel a sense of belonging and possibilities like nowhere else.     ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS  Assist in developing, planning, and implementing daily activities, in-service days, in accordance with YMCA philosophy and state licensing requirements Implement risk management to provide safety and well-being of all children  Integrate YMCA character development program into daily programming   Assist Supervisor and help to observe behavior, activities, and engagement for groups of up to 15 youth. Proactively clean and/or repair program areas; maintain supplies and equipment Attend all training courses, staff meetings and in-services without exception  Follow dress code; require staff to adhere with staff shirts, name badge, closed-toes shoes  Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays in accordance with location volume and events  Be knowledgeable and supportive of the YMCA Annual Support Campaign, and general procedures and policies, including personnel guidelines, facility access procedures, membership policies, and emergency plans    WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS  Physical demands described here are representative of those needed to successfully perform the essential functions of this job; reasonable accommodation can be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions   Regularly required to use a computer for extended periods of time and be able to communicate using a computer and phone/smart device    Frequently required to sit, reach and must be able to move around the work environment    Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds   Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and focus    Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate   QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS Minimum of 18 years of age  High school diploma or equivalent   3 months (460 hours) experience working with children under 13 years of age required; experience in a youth centered educational learning environment preferred.
