The Executive Assistant to the President & CEO provides high-level executive, administrative, and governance support to the President & CEO and the Board of Directors of the YMCA of Metro Denver. This role serves as a trusted partner to the CEO, enabling effective leadership, sound governance, and organizational alignment with the YMCA’s mission, vision, and strategic priorities.
The Executive Assistant plays a critical role in managing executive priorities, supporting Board operations, and ensuring the smooth functioning of the CEO’s office. The ideal candidate is highly organized, personable, discreet, technologically savvy, and experienced working with nonprofit boards and senior leaders in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities
Executive Support
Manage the CEO’s calendar with strategic judgment, prioritizing meetings to ensure effective use of executive time
Coordinate scheduling, logistics, and preparation for internal and external meetings
Prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, and briefing materials
Serve as a primary point of contact between the CEO and internal staff, board members, volunteers, donors, and external partners
Track action items, deadlines, and commitments
Handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion
Coordinate domestic travel and itineraries as needed
Board of Directors & Governance Support
Provide administrative and logistical support to the Board of Directors and Board Committees
Coordinate scheduling, agendas, materials, technology, and logistics for Board and committee meetings
Prepare, distribute, and archive Board packets and supporting documentation
Record and maintain accurate meeting minutes, resolutions, and official Board records
Support Board member onboarding, communications, and ongoing engagement
Maintain Board calendars, rosters, terms, and governance records in alignment with bylaws

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This position is primarily in-person and based at the corporate office
Occasional evening meetings may be required to support board meetings or organizational events
Must be able to maintain flexibility and professionalism in a dynamic executive environment

QualificationsRequired Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
Minimum of 3–5 years of administrative or executive support experience, preferably supporting senior leadership
Demonstrated experience supporting a nonprofit Board of Directors or governance body
Strong organizational, time management, and attention to detail skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High level of discretion and sound judgment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Teams, Zoom, and related technologies
Notary Public (State of Colorado) preferred; willingness to obtain notary commission upon hire required.
