Principal Engineer Power Platform

In this role, you will be working in a fast-paced, agile environment with a diverse team that possesses a true passion for technology, transformation, and outcomes. As a core team member, you will oversee full-lifecycle integration development activities, including design, development, testing, and troubleshooting within complex IT projects, ensuring adherence to established organizational standards.  You must be proficient in Power Platform development technologies, problem-solving skills, and ability to collaborate effectively in a team.

Job Responsibilities:                                                        

• Recommend technical approach in implementing solutions using Power Platform such as PowerApps, Power Automate, Dataverse, SharePoint, etc.
• Lead, develop and modify complex Power Platform projects through analysis, design, development, testing, and documentation using disciplined software development processes.
• Develop standards, guidelines for the Power Platform development to have a consistent process.
• Translate business and technical requirements into implementation. Provide technical guidance during requirements and design phase of the projects.
• Recommend the right architecture design, focusing on end-to-end business transactions across multiple systems and ensuring accuracy of data, security, visibility, scalability and performance.
• Conduct extensive testing and verification of test results during testing with other systems; troubleshoot system errors and serve as a resource to others in the resolution of complex errors.
• Develop new solutions and evaluate alternatives against decision criteria. Provide support in evaluation of system security methodologies. 
• Identify appropriate Power Platform patterns to use with project teams and design, develop those components and guide project teams through implementation.
• Work closely with project teams in defining technical aspects and incorporate the established testing processes.
• Document test plans, technical and functional specifications.  
• Administer one or more Power Platform application(s), monitor, secure, and manage performance, etc.
• Stay abreast of industry trends in order to proactively identify areas for growth, improvement, and development with the capability to implement industry best practices in systems’ reliability, stability, scalability, performance and security.
• Mentor developers on patterns, standards, framework components and best use of Power Platform technologies

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or related experience
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in Power Platform development
• Minimum of 5 years of experience specifically in PowerApps Canvas, Power Automate, Dataverse and SharePoint Online
• Expert in enterprise enterprise-grade solution, including design patterns, development, configuration, deployment, testing, and security.
• Strong understanding of Power Platform Pipelines for CI/CD, ALM workflows , and agile development methodologies
• Experience with security and access control models in both Power Platform and SharePoint
• Proficient in solution packaging, managed environments, and Dataverse schema design
• Familiarity with Power Platform administration, governance policies, and environment management
• Strong experience in guiding developers with deliverables
• Demonstrate broad knowledge in business concepts, processes, and functional IT strategy
• Strong experience in developing core components such as exception/error management, and logging.
• Demonstrated strong troubleshooting skills with experience in resolving critical and complex incidents
• Ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization; strong customer focus, quality, and results orientation.
• Ability to articulate complex ideas, comprehend written and verbal communications, and possess good presentation skills.
• Professional certification in such as Microsoft’s PL-400 or PL-600
• Highly motivated self-starter
