About the Unit

We are looking for a Sales Manager Horticultural Products to join our Benelux commercial team.

 

In this position, reporting to the Commercial Manager Benelux, you will drive market development and sales growth for Yara’s horticultural and fertigation products and solutions across the Benelux region.

Responsibilities

The main responsibilities for this role are:

  • Expand the High Value segment in Benelux with a strong emphasis on horticultural solutions.
  • Manage portfolio pricing and collaborate and communicate with commercial teams.
  • Drive sales volume development and increase market share in liquid horticultural fertilizer market.
  • Develop both short- and long-term sales forecasts and conduct performance analyses.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key growers to understand their needs and generate demand at the farm level.
  • Support Product Development by identifying new product opportunities in collaboration with the glasshouse competence team.
  • Act as the local Fertigation Specialist, providing expertise to support business development activities.
  • Define and execute product positioning strategies for local markets in partnership with the Marketing team.
  • Manage the product portfolio proactively, working closely with Production and Technical teams on pricing and optimisation.

  • Market Insight: Deep understanding of industry trends, customer behaviour, and the competitive environment.
  • Strategic Perspective: Able to shape long-term product strategies and positioning plans.
  • Project Management: Skilled in overseeing the full product development lifecycle from concept to launch.
  • Analytical Ability: Strong capability in data analysis for forecasting and market research.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with experience working cross-functionally.
  • Innovation: Creative thinker with the ability to anticipate market shifts and introduce new ideas.
  • Customer Orientation: Dedicated to identifying and addressing customer expectations and pain points.
  • Commercial Acumen: Strong business mindset focused on revenue and profit growth.
  • Organised & Methodical: Highly structured approach to managing tasks and projects.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for analysis, reporting, and presentations.
  • Additional Advantage: Experience with SAP ERP.
  • Language: Fluent in Dutch (preferably native speaking) and English.
