Reports to: Sr. Sourcing Manager
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies that deliver cost savings, quality improvements, and service enhancements.
- Lead supplier negotiations for key categories, ensuring alignment with company objectives and compliance with internal policies.
- Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with key suppliers to ensure performance and reliability.
- Analyze supplier capabilities, financials, and proposals to support informed and strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Operations, Quality, Finance, etc.) to understand requirements and translate them into actionable sourcing strategies.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, process optimization, and innovation within sourcing practices.
- Monitor market trends and industry developments to inform procurement decisions and mitigate supply risks.
- Support contract development and management to ensure best value and risk mitigation.
- Ensure all sourcing practices comply with corporate policies, regulations, and ethical standards.
- Responsible for managing and monitoring team KPIs, fostering a culture of accountability, excellence, and professional development.
Profile
- University degree or College diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field is required
- 5+ years of experience in a procurement role, preferably with exposure to the food and beverage industry or sourcing food commodities.
- Experience in the dairy industry is considered an asset.
- Global procurement experience is considered an asset.
- Experience negotiating commercial terms & service level agreements covering various spend categories
- Good communication skills with the ability to interact with stakeholders and other supporting teams at all levels of organization and deliver effective presentations.
- Proven ability to manage competing agendas and priorities and translate complex information across internal and external audiences.
- Strong project management skills, ability to maintain a high degree of personal organization.
- Strong financial acumen with consultative, analytical, and problem-solving skills with experience sourcing within complex spend categories
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, including the ability to create/manage complex spreadsheets and perform quantitative analysis in MS Excel.
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and critical thinking skills with demonstrated use of data analysis and metrics to drive decision making and continuous improvement
