Summary:
The Mechanical Estimator focuses on Mechanical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection quantity takeoffs and associated pricing for a variety of projects. This role is responsible for developing accurate, detailed cost estimates to assist stakeholders in making well-informed decisions about scope and budget alignment. The Estimator works closely with clients, project teams, and suppliers to ensure high-quality pre-construction support and timely delivery of estimates.

Through the estimates provided and Trophy Point's knowledge of construction, the organization works with its customers to aid in the alignment of scope and budget on a given project.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Review and interpret construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and narratives.
- Participate in client and internal project kick-off meetings.
- Develop and submit RFIs and solicit quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Perform mechanical quantity take-offs using OST, and other estimating software.
- Apply appropriate unit pricing using historical data, vendor quotes, and market benchmarks.
- Conduct comparative cost analyses to identify opportunities for budget alignment.
- Maintain strong, positive working relationships with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders.
- Prepare organized, standardized estimate reports for client and internal use.
- Deliver estimates and follow up with clients in a timely manner.
- Support closeout documentation efforts as needed.
- Contribute to improvements in mechanical estimating processes and best practices.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with building HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience with OST, or similar estimating software preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
