In this role, you will design, build, operate, and continuously improve our Snowflake-based data warehouse and data services. You will deliver reliable, well-modeled datasets and simple, scalable APIs that power analytics, dashboards, and downstream applications.You will work closely with analysts (your primary stakeholders) and PD&amp;T partners to translate business needs into robust, production-grade data products.</p> <p><strong>Analytics/DWH:</strong> SQL, Python, SnowFlake, AirFlow, Looker, &nbsp;Amplitude, GoogleAnalytics, GoogleSheets, DataHub, Git.<br><strong>Application platform: </strong>PostgreSQL, Ruby, SalesForce.<br><strong>Project/Process management:</strong> JIRA, Miro, Figma</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Pipelines &amp; ELT:</strong> implement and operate stable, secure ELT/ETL into Snowflake from ERP/CRM/payments/accounting; monitor and fix failures.</li> <li><strong>Data modeling:</strong> deliver clean layers (raw → cdm → DM); keep definitions consistent with metric owners.</li> <li><strong>Multi‑region data warehouse (N+1 architecture):</strong> seamlessly onboard new regional platforms (ERP + database) into a unified layered model (raw → cdm → DM) so dashboards and analytics work across regions out of the box.</li> <li><strong>APIs &amp; integrations: </strong>build/maintain simple data services and endpoints; consume external APIs as needed.</li> <li><strong>Data quality: </strong>add checks, reconcile sources, and resolve data defects; protect PII.</li> <li><strong>Looker support:</strong> assist with model changes driven by DWH updates; keep explores performant and accurate.</li> <li><strong>Ops hygiene: </strong>version control, code reviews, alerting, cost‑aware design; collaborate with DevOps.</li> <li><strong>Ways of working:</strong> start with “why,” simplify, and treat the data platform as a product.</li> </ul> <p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p> <p><strong>Examples of problems to be solved:</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Multi‑region N+1 ingestion and unification</strong> (EU/UK/TR, future regions) into a single standardized model.</li> <li><strong>Snowflake cost/performance optimization </strong>(warehouse sizing, clustering, caching, pruning).</li> <li><strong>Data quality/observability:</strong> lineage in DataHub, SLAs/SLOs, anomaly detection, and alerting.</li> <li><strong>GDPR/PII controls:</strong> masking, access policies (RBAC), auditability.</li> <li><strong>ML enablement: </strong>curated feature tables and reliable batch/online inference paths via APIs.</li> <li><strong>Data microservices: </strong>support/extend services like order distribution with clean contracts and monitoring.</li> <li><strong>Connectivity &amp; reliability across regions</strong> (e.g., EU⇄CN constraints), retries, back‑pressure, idempotency.<br><br>Bachelor’s or Master’s in Data Science, Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field.<br>Track record of curiosity and self‑directed development in adjacent disciplines—entrepreneurship, business administration, product, UX, machine learning, and human behavior/psychology—is a strong plus.<br><strong><br>Qualification and experience:</strong></li> <li><strong>Experience: </strong>2–4+ years in data engineering or DWH development.</li> <li><strong>Tech:</strong> strong SQL &amp; Python; Airflow; Snowflake (or similar cloud DWH); Git/JIRA/Confluence.</li> <li><strong>Plus: </strong>BI modeling exposure (Looker), ELT patterns, basic API development.</li> <li><strong>Soft skills:</strong> clear communication, ownership, quality mindset; can turn ambiguous asks into stable data solutions.<br> <p>Russian — fluent (must)<br>English — fluent (must)<br>Strong communication in both; German/other EU language — plus</p> <p><strong>Work conditions:</strong></p> </li> <li>Full-time job.
