MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) certification through Healthcare Financial Management Association within one (1) year of hire.
EXPERIENCE:
1. One (1) year of Healthcare finance experience.

1. Bachelor degree in business, health information or related field.

1. Acts as a resource for patients and their family members on financial and managed care matters.
2. Research financial assistance program options and completes all necessary documentation for enrollment.
3. Coordinator will work with other team members on financial clearance matters including; nurses, physicians, financial leaders, and other key stake holders.
4. The coordinator will work with patients and families beginning at the point of referral/pre-authorization to ensure all opportunities for financial resolution and communication are met.
5. Knowledge on CPT/ICD codes for assigned service area to ensure appropriate understating and compliance.
6. Understand and comply with Patient Access/Utilization Review/Patient Finance procedures as they apply to financial resolution.
7. Projects a mature problem-solving response while dealing with interpersonal conflict, medically compromised individuals, dissatisfied patients and stringent time demands.
8. Audits patient accounts to ensure financial arrangements, assistance, and appropriately applied to encounter.
9. Completes patient estimates when needed for families, patients, and insurance companies.
10. Complete necessary education and certification as warranted by the assigned signature service area to ensure knowledge and adherence to regulations.
11. Superior computer and writing skills that effectively project positive and a customer centered interaction.
