This position provides prompt pickup and delivery of packages, specimens, equipment, supplies, and documents requiring transportation.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
1. Valid driver's license.

1. High school diploma or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE:
1. Two (2) Years’ experience as a courier.

CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The statements described here are intended to describe the general nature of work being performed by people assigned to this position.  They are not intended to be constructed as an all-inclusive list of all responsibilities and duties.  Other duties may be assigned.

1. Provides timely pickup and delivery of all supplies and packages.
2. Ensures orders are complete and organized prior to delivery.
3. Collaborates with staff to obtain the correct supplies and paper work.
4. Adheres to delivery schedule and reports back to the hospital once deliveries are complete.
5. Performs a daily cleaning of vehicle.
6. Maintains a vehicle maintenance log.
7. Monitors periodic maintenance and inspections.
8. Picks orders, unloads trucks, and puts supplies away in the stockroom.

1. Ability to stand and walk short distances for eight or more hours.
2. Frequent bending, stooping or stretching.
3. Ability to lift 50 pounds and push 80 pounds.
4. Normal vision and hearing range.

6. Ability to withstand rapid pace of events.

1. Hospital vehicle, supply stockroom, loading dock, and medical offices.
2.  Exposure to chemicals, infectious waste, heat, cold, loud noise, dust, fumes, and odors.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

1. Respond to changes in volume on a daily basis. Ability to follow oral and written instructions and procedures.
2. Must possess effective reading and comprehensive skills.
3. Must possess excellent all weather driving skills.
4. Must find locations based on address using GPS.
5. Ability to locate off-site locations and complete off-site assignments.
