Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Job Duties
Complete floor care services including: scrubbing, and stripping & refinishing hard surface floors.
Complete carpet care services including: extraction, Whitaker, bonnet/roto, and carpet spotting.
Complete specialty cleaning services such as marble restoration and maintenance, hardwood floor refinishing, upholstery cleaning and post-construction cleaning.
Assist team members to complete special projects as requested by our customers.
Assist management in the daily operations of specific contract services delivered to customers in a timely and quality manner.
Orientate and train new employees in the safe and proper operation of equipment and floor care processes as necessary.
Assist with job training for staff including safety lessons from JaniTek’s training materials.
Supervise fellow employees.
Distribute work assignments to employees as directed.
Perform preventative maintenance and minor repair of equipment as necessary.
Assist with establishing and maintaining a positive relationship with customers.
Report on building condition.
Follow all safety and personnel rules, policies, and regulations.
Job Qualifications
Education and work history that demonstrates work ethic and responsibility.
Demonstrated experience and expertise in refinishing VCT, machine scrubbing ceramic tile and stone floors, and cleaning carpets.
Able to perform all tasks which include walking, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, and crouching.
Effective communication skills
Ability to work independently as needed to support the group effort.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and carry a 12 lbs. backpack vacuum cleaner.
Able to work efficiently to complete tasks.
Able to effectively communicate with co-workers, management, tenants, and customers.
Able to read and understand written communications.
Positive, solution-oriented attitude.
Standards of Performance
Be on time for work
Call the office by 10:00am of any day when you are sick and cannot work
Time card accurately and filled out and turned in on time
Call in to time keeping system in the required manner
Work completed in budgeted amount of time
Floor van is neat and organized
Uniform is clean and neat and worn while at work
No smoking in building or while working except when on breaks outside the building in designated areas
Not under the influence of intoxicating substances while at work
When working in building all doors are locked and no one is admitted to building
Lost or damaged keys are reported to manager
Wear ID badge while at work
