About this role

Position Title: Advanced Waste Reduction (AWR) Operator (NOC 92101 - Water & Waste Treatment Plant Operators)
Positions: 1
Terms of Employment: Permanent, full‑time; 84 hours bi‑weekly on 12‑hour rotational shifts (days/nights)
Language of Work: English
Wage: $38.00–$42.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications; will meet/exceed Alberta’s high‑wage threshold and the prevailing wage for the occupation/location; eligible overtime per Alberta standards
Benefits: Extended health & dental; Health Care Spending Account; RRSP contribution program
Location(s) of Work: Grande Prairie, AB; work may be performed at client sites and remote field locations throughout Alberta and British Columbia

Key Duties:
• Set up, operate, monitor, and dismantle AWR processing equipment, including proprietary filtration systems
• Operate pumps, hoses, tanks, and processing units for oil/water/solids separation
• Monitor flow, pressure, temperature, and interface levels; identify issues for optimization and recovery
• Perform filtration media change‑outs, flushing, and routine cleaning
• Conduct inspections and basic mechanical checks; complete logs, inspection sheets, and maintenance requests
• Support oil recovery, waste minimization, material handling; ensure compliance with company/client/regulatory safety standards

Requirements:
• Secondary school completion
• At least one year of experience in fluid management, waste handling, tank services, or oilfield operations

• Mechanical aptitude; ability to learn advanced processing systems; strong attention to procedure and detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; comfortable in remote/industrial environments and
all weather
•
Valid Class 5 driver’s licence
•
CSO, H2S Alive, and First Aid certifications (or obtained prior to start)
