Job Summary

Responsible for providing training for new hires and tenured employees through various learning methods. In this role, you will play an important part in our world-leading ground handling operation at DFW Airport. The Facility Trainer maintains oversight of safety and procedural training processes for stations in a specific region and/or line of business.  The Trainer coordinates with local general managers and station trainers to ensure personnel receive both initial and recurrent training specific to their job functions, while keeping safety the utmost priority. 

 

Pay: $25.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

  • Provides company, regulatory, carrier or practical training for individual or group settings to new hire as well as tenured employees.
  • Creates milestones to be achieved through training methods and create training plans.
  • Conducts skill needs assessments to identify specific skill/knowledge gaps, training objectives, work situations and changes in training policies and procedures.
  • Coordinates trainings and re-certifications, ensuring training is designed, delivered and evaluated for consistency.
  • Observes employees to determine the effectiveness of training programs and ensure that any additional training requirements are fulfilled.
  • Complies with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Reports all unsafe activities to supervisor and Safety Manager.
  • Maintains training rosters and records with trainees and complies with appropriate training recordkeeping requirements.

Minimum Requirements

  • HS Diploma, GED or Equivalent.
  • Minimum 6 months related operational experience preferred.
  • WFS or Carrier Instructor Certification.
  • Current qualification and experience on training subject or learning plan.
  • problems and systematically investigates the various components.
  • Has a complete picture of the context and overview of the whole problem.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

  • Remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
  • Walk short distances.
  • Reach above and/or below shoulder.
  • Handle/grasp documents or office equipment.
  • Sit and/or stand for short or extended periods of time.
  • Lift/carry/move objects, files and documents up to 10 pounds.
  • Work in an office environment using standard office equipment.
  • Talk, listen, and speak clearly on telephone.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
