Program Implementation:
· Take lead in the M&E activities in Tambura
· Maintain existing indicator tracking tools; develop additional databases and tracking tools as needed to demonstrate the effectiveness of project interventions.
· Analyze data for accuracy, flag validation or quality issues, and contribute to system fixes.
· Support the implementation of a robust monitoring and evaluation system that will ensure tracking of project/ program results at different levels (outputs, outcomes and impact).
· Develop/ Adopt an integrated database of county health & protection activities and ensure accountability through regular data updates, data integrity and working in collaboration with the data processors.
· Work with project officers and manager to ensure the collection of relevant and appropriate data needed for an effective MEAL system which will be utilized in monitoring strengths, weaknesses and gaps in existing projects/ programs and services and for reporting on donor commitments.
· Conduct routine data quality checks at the facility through data quality audits and provide timely feedback.
· Ensure all supported facilities have registers and tools appropriate for data collection and reporting.
· Play a leading role at the County Health Department in the adaptation of HMIS tools rolled out by MOH by ensuring that all data collection tools are adopted and reported on.
· Train health and protections workers on respective reporting system, data capture and reporting tools.
· Ensure timely reporting through DHIS2 including weekly IDSR.
· Document program photos and success stories.
· Take lead in organizing the project review meetings in coordination with manager and the officers.
· Conduct trainings (OJT, Classroom) to HF and protection staff and ensure regular mentorship of reporting.
· Work with the CHDs to support CHDs Pharmaceutical staff and ensure preparedness of the store for keeping supplies.
· Coordinate and mobilize supplies from other partners to support project.
· Attend/organize all meetings related to the project.
· Participate and pay supportive supervision visits to all health facilities and protection sites for capacity building and performance evaluation.
· Carry out additional responsibilities and projects as assigned, including administrative and planning functions
Reporting
· Support the CHD M&E to provide weekly, monthly reports to project manager.
· Coordinate responses to requests for data and information from the technical team including the project lot manager, Nutrition Technical managers and government state holders.
· Lead and/or coordinate all county assessments, evaluations and performance evaluation tasks such as quantified supportive supervisions, client satisfaction surveys including planning and reporting on the same.
· Coordinate the review all survey reports prepared to ensure quality and accurate reporting.
Qualifications/Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience.
The following may be acquired through a combination of formal or self-education, prior experience or on-the-job training:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics or Diploma in Computer Science, Demography, Development Studies, MBA with extensive experience in health M&E.
· Demonstrated experience in data processing and management of large-scale surveys.
· Demonstrated experience of statistical packages and/ or data analysis software (e.g. SPSS, Excel, Epi Info, SMART, STATA) and advanced computer skills (word-processing, spread sheets, and databases) are a must.
· Thorough knowledge of DHIS2 and protection reporting platforms
· Certificate in M&E.
