Key Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for accurate financial bookkeeping and providing quality technical support in implementing Emergency Response financial process and ensuring their alignment with financial policies and standards. The role includes responsibility for the daily financial processes, ensuring all transactions comply with WV regulations and donor requirements, and employing strong internal controls.
During emergencies, this position may support the daily financial processes to deliver rapid and effective responses, while maintaining accountability.
Background SAFER Project Aceh-North Sumatra: This emergency response project aimed to ensure that affected children and communities in Sumatera have immediate access to essential support services that meet their urgent basic needs and protection rights through following sectors:
WASH in Emergencies
Protection
Nutrition
Livelihood
And other potential sectors.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or completion of relevant accounting/finance courses and/or possession of equivalent professional experience.
Minimum of one (1) year of experience in financial management, accounting, or auditing, preferably within the humanitarian or development sector.
Professional proficiency in both Bahasa Indonesia and English.
Willingness to reside in and travel to emergency response areas.
Strong working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Good practical experience with computerized accounting systems.
Familiarity with donor-funded project regulations and reporting requirements is an advantage.
Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve complex issues and to exercise sound, independent judgment.
Willingness to go the extra mile and undertake additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
