KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (not all-inclusive, nor exhaustive):

  • Facilitate training and coaching for government counterparts and community stakeholders
  • Support local authorities in applying programme guidelines and accountability mechanisms
  • Co-develop and refine data collection tools for monitoring and feedback
  • Ensure accurate and timely data collection across programme cycles
  • Analyze field data to identify trends, gaps, and areas for improvement
  • Prepare clear, timely reports summarizing activities, findings, and recommendations
  • Manage and promote community feedback channels (helpdesks, complaint boxes, hotline, etc.)
  • Document and escalate feedback appropriately, ensuring resolution and follow-up
  • Maintain regular engagement with traditional leaders, councilors, and community representatives
  • Participate in community meetings and sensitization sessions to build trust and transparency
  • Verify the planned movements and distribution of food or non-food items, report issues or discrepancies to the supervisor for timely resolution of problems and to ensure that the quantity distributed, and the quality of the operation is in line with WFP standards.
  • Maintain information records and monitor plan documentation, such as records of commodity movements and programme checklists, to assist in the effective delivery and distribution of food items or non-food items.
  • Collate assistance programme(s) data in accordance with clear direction, to support programme reviews and informative decision-making.
  • Liaise with cooperating partners and internal counterparts to gather feedback and comments to support programme reviews and improve services.
  • Receive and collate comments and feedback from cooperating partners and beneficiaries to support identifying programmatic issues with a view to fostering efficient operations.
  • Provide guidance for cooperating partners on WFP operational practices, monitoring tools and methods to support them to complete self-monitoring tasks and to contribute to the visibility of WFP in the coverage areas.
  • Prepare field mission reports to document programme implementation.
  • Respond to a variety of queries/requests for support, following standard processes, and obtaining guidance as required, to ensure timely and accurate resolution of all enquiries with a high standard of client service mindset.
  • Conduct regular visits to WFP contracted retailers’ outlets to ensure availability of appropriate stocks, cleanliness and record keeping at satisfactory levels.
  • Based on existing standard operating procedures and WFP policies, participate in and facilitate beneficiary selection and engagement activities
  • Undertake post-distribution monitoring as well as monitoring of shops, as required.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Completion of University Degree preferably in economics, business, accounts or statistics.
  • Has 3 years' experience in analysing programme output and outcome data.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Willing to travel to field missions and support project implementation (up to 70% travel time)
  • Basic skills on record keeping, reporting, and excel and data analysis
  • Proven track record of programme implementation in humanitarian environment.
  • General knowledge of WFP monitoring and evaluation systems and standards.

Languages:

  • Fluency (level C) in English language. Fluency in local language of area of operation will be an added asset.
